What Information do We Collect?

Thanks for your interest in a career with us! As part of your use of this website, we will collect certain information related to your use of this website as well as the information you include in your application. Examples include:

  • Personal Information that can be used to identify you, including your real name, postal address, telephone number, email address or online identifier, where you go or have gone to school, your work history, and other information that makes up your application.

We do NOT share or sell your Personal Information with any third parties other than those entities we use to run the site and process your application.

We may also contact you about your application or other jobs that you may be qualified for at Compass. These communications may occur through our third party service providers, and may use pre-recorded messages or occur through SMS text messages. You may opt out at any time. On our careers site, we encourage you to review your profile and your default notification settings as you continue your job search with Compass Group. Note that at any time, you can use your profile page to adjust your alert settings from the default, to opt-out of job alert notifications, or to choose to remain anonymous by logging in to your profile and managing your alerts via the “Job Alerts” tab.

Data Retention and Deletion

Based on the various goods and services we provide, we will retain your for a period of time and then either (a) securely delete it, or (b) remove all identifying characteristics from it so that it can no longer be associated with you (also known as “anonymization” or “aggregation”). The retention period depends on a number of factors, such as the reason and manner in which the information was collected, the business reason for its collection, the period of time (if any) disclosed to you at the time of collection, and any contractual or other legal requirements that dictate the retention of the information. For any piece of personal information collected by us, we will delete, anonymize, or aggregate the data after a period of 7 years or once our business need or legal requirement for the information ends,

1. Right to Know

Please note certain particularly sensitive data cannot be shared, including social security numbers, financial card data, and other similar information.

2. Right to Delete

In certain states, you have the right to request that we delete the information we have about you.

Please note that not all data can always be deleted. We will not delete data that we are required to retain to comply with certain laws, for example.

Also, please be aware that completing your request may mean we can no longer provide certain services to you that rely on that data, including product returns, refunds, and other customer service functions.

3. Right to Correct

You have the right to contact us and ask that the information we have about you be corrected.

4. Right to Opt Out

You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. At this time, Compass does not sell or share your personal information. As a result, we do not honor Opt-Out requests. Similarly, we do not honor “opt-out preference signals.” NOTE: At this time we do not sell or share your data.

5. Right to Limit the Use and Disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information

You may request that we limit the use and disclosure of any sensitive personal information we have collected about you. Please be aware that, in general, Compass does not collect Sensitive personal information. In the event that we do, we only use and disclose that information (a) in direct relation to the goods and services we are providing to you; or (b) as required by applicable law.

When you make one of these requests, we require you to submit sufficient information to both verify your identity and search our companies’ systems for information related to you. Please note, that certain requests require additional information to verify your identity. We do this to protect the security and privacy of your data, the security of your accounts with us, and to comply with the law. You may also use an authorized agent to make one of these requests, but please be aware that additional requirements do apply. Your agent must either provide an executed power of attorney compliant with laws in your state, or provide a document evidencing that they are your agent, after which we will contact you to verify that the agent is working on your behalf.

We do not collect household data, and as a result do not honor household requests. We do not use your data for any kind of automated decision making process, and so cannot process requests related to such activities.

Once you have submitted a request, as described above, and receive a decision you do not agree with, you may submit an appeal to [email protected]. Non-Discrimination

We do not discriminate against consumers that file requests under this policy. You will continue to receive the same services you are used to, with the exception of those that cannot be completed due to the request. For example, if we delete your purchase history or personal identifiers, we may not be able to provide product returns or warranty support.

Minors

With limited, noted exceptions, our sites are not intended or designed to be used by minors. We do not knowingly collect or process the information of children under the age of 16, and no one under that age should enter any information into any of our sites without acquiring and providing prior parental consent.
